RAINBOW MOUNTAIN ATV TOUR
Tour Start
At 04:00 we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. We set off towards the community of Japura (approx. 3 h), the starting point of our ATV adventure.
Breakfast in Japura
On arrival in Japura we will recharge with a hot breakfast. Our guide will give safety briefings, hand out helmets/gloves and run an ATV riding test.
ATV Route
We start the ATV ride along high-Andean trails with views of snow-capped peaks and alpaca herds. Riding assisted by a lead guide and support vehicle (time varies according to the group).
Qosqopata – Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) Hike
From the Qosqopata sector we begin the hike to Rainbow Mountain. Approx. 45 min at a moderate pace. Maximum altitude reference: 5,036 m a.s.l.
Rainbow Mountain Viewpoint
Arrival at the Vinicunca viewpoint. Free time for photos, guide explanation on geology, local culture and altitude recommendations. Optional: short ridge walk if weather permits.
Descent and ATV Return
We descend to Qosqopata and return by ATV to Japura. Short rest, hydration and preparation for the land transfer.
Lunch in Cusipata
Transfer to Cusipata where a varied lunch awaits (hot options, coca tea and drinks). Free time to relax before the return.
Return to Cusco
Departure from Cusipata to Cusco. Approximate afternoon arrival and end of the tour near the historic center or your hotel (according to the day's logistics).
