Cusco South Valley Tour, an incredible adventure!
SOUTH VALLEY TOUR CUSCO
Tour Start
Our tour begins with pickup from your hotel between 08:30 and 08:45. At 09:00 we will start our adventure through Cusco's South Valley, a route that combines history, architecture and gastronomy.
Tipón
Our first stop will be Tipón Archaeological Park. This site is notable for its agricultural terraces, water channels and Inca hydraulic systems that still work today, a showcase of the advanced engineering and agricultural knowledge of the time.
Pikillacta
We will continue to Pikillacta, a pre-Inca complex belonging to the Wari culture. This place shows surprising urban planning and stone structures that reflect the organization and architectural development of one of the most important civilizations of pre-Columbian Peru.
Andahuaylillas
We will continue to the charming Chapel of Andahuaylillas, known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas". Inside you will see 17th-century frescoes, carvings and paintings, a true treasure of Cusco colonial art.
Gastronomic Tour
On our way back we will enjoy a delicious gastronomic tour, with stops at: Oropesa: famous for its giant breads called "chutas". Tipón: known for its exquisite baked guinea pig. Saylla: famous for its traditional Cusco chicharrones, where we will have our lunch (Additional cost).
Return to Cusco
After lunch we will return to the city of Cusco, ending our tour near the Plaza de Armas, where you can continue exploring.
